Halloween
News
Marina Simon, on behalf of the Elsipogtog School
fundraising Committee, recently presented a cheque for $10,000.00 to
Superintendent of Education, Levi Sock, to commence construction of a
school playground. The playground
will be built in memory of the following former students: John Jake Peter Paul, Mila Simon, Joey
Francis, and William Francis. Your
continued support in this worthwhile cause is appreciated.
Halloween
For
Halloween, Elsipogtog School held a scarecrow contest with a pizza party for
the top three classroom winners.
Our first
place winner was Elaine’s Grade 3 class.
Second
place came from Marina’s Grade 4 class.
Third place
was from Serena’s Grade 2 class.
Even our principal participated in
our Halloween activities!
Bev Smith’s class collected with
unicef boxes instead of treat bags!
Fundraising
Once again
this September we had our Sunsweet Christmas fundraising called Happy Happy
Snowman. Although sales were lower than
last year we still raised over $1000 for our school. Delivery of the merchandise was excellent with only one item
needing replacement. Thank you to all
the students and parents who participated in this fundraising.
